About the Role

The role of Internal Communication will be to develop and deliver a proactive, client- focused, engaging communications strategy for the Americas region that is aligned to the global internal communications objectives and strategy. Help the company achieve its strategic ambition by ensuring that colleagues:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Define and develop a communications strategy for the Americas region that engages colleagues and helps them live the brand from the inside out
  • Develop communication strategies to involve and engage field-based teams
  • Work with colleagues to translate business strategies, projects & initiatives into effective communication approaches and programs
  • Help colleagues achieve effective forward planning of their communications activity so that communications are well considered, co-ordinated, timely and relevant to the intended audiences
  • manage an annual calendar of communication initiatives that keeps all teams claer on the company's strategic direction and focus
  • Provide expert internal communications and engagement advice and support to all colleagues and specific teams on specific issues
  • Help embed BSI’s internal tone of voice by coaching managers and teams and providing kits / templates
  • Research and write stories that are engaging, relevant and communicate key business and brand messages
  • Support the leadership team in their communications, including producing engaging town halls and ensure that they are shared in filmed format each month
  • Create a communications plan for using all channels: poster slots, tv screens, intranet, town halls etc.
  • Populate and deliver the biweekly news round up for all countries in the region
  • Create content for our digital platforms (intranet and Chatter)
  • Stage all key Americas business events and leadership update
  • Support internal initiatives such as wellness committee, open enrolment, etc
  • Publish monthly metrics to measure the effectiveness of channels and messages
  • Manage a budget and ensure effective use of resources

  • PHR/SPHR certification, preferred
  • Minimum 5 years internal communications experience
