  • About the Role

    Responsibilities may include:
    • Performs site assessments of client staff injury prevention programs to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Develops strategic plans to implement and design written EHS programs and procedures specific to BSI’s RAPID Healthcare Injury Prevention programs.
    • Work effectively to integrate health and safety into the fabric and culture of any outsource position.  Leverage safety and health program to build morale and increase productivity of the employees and the operation.  Builds effective working relationships with department managers.
    • Performs basic project management and internal customer management.
    • Experience with Job Hazard Analysis and Root Cause Analysis a plus
    • May supervise and/or mentor junior staff.
    • Present and submit articles for publication locally and nationally.
    • Support other EHS&S projects as requested

    About You

    Do you have a passion for helping hospital workers to stay safe and injury free? This could be your ideal job if you are excited about healthcare staff injury prevention, have several years of experience in a hospital environment, and are interested in the dynamic world of consulting. In this role you will be working either on site at one of our client locations as an extension of their EHS organization and/or working on a variety of consulting projects from one of BSI’s many offices across the US. Projects are variable and challenging.  This person could be located most anywhere in the US but have the willingness to travel extensively to meet client needs all over the US.


    • This position requires a Bachelors degree in a health related field or Associates degree with direct clinical, safety, or operations experience in a hospital
    • Associate Safety Professional (ASP) / Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or ASP/CSP Eligible is a plus.
    • Medical or health sciences degree – nursing, emergency medical technician (EMT), physical therapist/occupational therapist, exercise physiologist/kinesiology, or similar is a plus
     Work Experience
    • 5-7 years of experience implementing hospital health and safety programs preferred
    • 3+ years direct experience working in a hospital setting
