Lead Generation Representative

About the Role

The Lead Generation Representative will serve as the primary resource for calling and qualifying leads from multiple marketing sources, such as webinars, tradeshows, emails, surveys, white papers, etc.


  • Essential Responsibilities:
  • Contacts prospects to determine business needs and pair those needs to BSI products and services.
  • Moves leads to the next step in the process and communicates with marketing and sales.
  • Follows up on un-contacted leads in specified timeframes, as well as expired proposals.
  • Responsible for monthly leads.
  • Escalates issues to supervisor as needed.
  • Maintains accurate records in SalesForce, with detailed information on customer contacts.
  • Must have a customer-oriented attitude.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


About You

  • Able to explain BSI’s history, structure and role in the standards industry to all customers.
  • Able to apply product features and benefits to customers’ needs in order to win business.
  • Able to apply knowledge of competitors to explain the full business advantages of BSI products.
  • Experience is preferred in telemarketing, lead generation, sales, or other similar over-the-phone postions.
  • Excellent business communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Good telephone skills
  • Software skills –, MS Office, Outlook email
  • Good Task and Time Management
  • Able to take accurate and detailed notes on customer information for company records
  • Ability to work well with colleagues in different departments across the organization.
