  • About the Role

    Reporting to the Regional People Development Manager, the Onboarding Coordinator will work collaboratively with development stakeholders, including department managers, supervisors, and human resources colleagues, to define new starter training competencies and requirements. The Onboarding Coordinator is responsible for program management and administration of the onboarding program.


    Essential Responsibilities:

    • Manage the monthly two-day Induction orientation program for all new starters.
    • Partner with subject matter experts for updating content and delivery of two-day Induction program.
    • Partner with Talent Acquisition team for exposure to talent pipeline and plan for new starters.
    • Work with managers to develop and implement a functional development plan for the new starters first 6 months.
    • Create a template tracker of development plans and onboarding activities by function.
    • Coordinate functional specific system training.
    • Work with managers to ensure all equipment and system access is provisioned.
    • Provide instruction on setting up LinkedIn and Chatter accounts.
    • Develop and administer feedback tools for the manager and new starter at 30, 60, and 90 days.
    • Conduct monthly conference calls at 30 and 60 days for new starters.
    • Reengage with the new starters at set intervals in the first 6 months to gather feedback and be a resource for questions.
    • Assist new starters and managers with documenting performance and development objectives in the performance management system.
    • Evaluate program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

    • Written Communication—the individual edits work for spelling and grammar, presents numerical data effectively and is able to read and interpret written information.
    • Program Management  – the individual has excellent planning, organization, and implementation skills.
    • HR principles, procedures and techniques.
    • Relevant HR standards, rules and regulations applicable to the services we provide.
    • Strong initiative and solid judgement abilities/skills.
    • Minimal, less than 10%, international and/or domestic travel.
