  • About the Role

    The Business Development Manager will play a key role in the growth and expansion of BSI Supply Chain Solutions in the pharmaceutical product offerings. Responsible for business development, supply chain programs representing our software screen (intelligence portal) and SCM audit repository verification audits, training and identification of advisory opportunities. The Business Development Manager will be able to identify, develop and nurture solutions opportunities representing the full product suite and able to represent quality, sustainability, social responsibility, security and business continuity. Ongoing account management after the sale is closed will be critical to ensure ongoing satisfaction with BSI professional services and its products.


    Essential Responsibilities:

    • To promote, position and sell BSI Supply Chain Solutions products and professional services to prospects and customers
    • Perform in-depth client / prospect needs analysis resulting in full solutions proposals
    • Present and convey a high level of knowledge of Supply Chain issuer and how BSI solutions can address them
    • Actively drive and manage the solution evaluation stage of the sales process
    • Create and author proposals based on needs
    • Assist in the delivery of product solutions to meet the needs of prospects and customers
    • Identify all issues of assigned accounts to assure complete satisfaction through all stages of the sales and delivery process
    • Develop and implement strategies to grow the BSI organization's presence in emerging markets
    • Participate in Sector Association to develop business relationships and stay in touch with industry changes

    We seek someone who meets all of the following criteria:

    • Robust experience of solution selling, with the ability to win client trust, covering Quality Assurance/Quality Control solutions for supply chain, risk and compliance issues
    • Experience with supply chain issues associated with reputational risk and brand protection in Safety, Quality, CSR, Environmental, OHS, Security, Traceability and Business Ethics essential
    • Previous experience with promoting and understanding compliance and risk assessment services associated with Quality, Safety, CSR, Environment, OHS, Ethics and Traceability is highly desirable
    • Can deliver and strive for superior performance, and who can achieve challenging objectives
    • Are proactive with people and can lead by example
    • Can demonstrate passion for the business and can inspire others
    • Have integrity, ensuring that business is conducted in an ethical manner
    • Have commercial focus, understanding customers' needs and adding value
    • B.A. / B.S. or equivalent job experience
    • Minimum 5 years experience in consultative sales
    • Minimum 35% travel required.  This includes both land (car) and air travel
