  • About the Role

    To implement the global Reward framework across the Americas region. The Reward Specialist Americas role will be responsible for all incentive plan and benefit plan maintenance, updates and systems interface. In addition, this role should provide regional support across the Americas for all reward programs and initiatives. This role serves four (4) core countries within the Americas – Canada, Brazil, Mexico and the USA - employing 900 employees. It will work across the Assurance, professional services and regulatory services streams as well as with various sectors (food, healthcare and built environment).


    Essential Responsibilities:

    • Take the Group reward strategy and policy framework and implement within the Americas Region
    • Work as part of a virtual reward team
    • Monitor and control the application of reward policies to contribute to effective reward governance in line with Group Reward policy
    • Take ownership for the effective management and delivery of the annual pay review and bonus process across the region.

    • Manage the relationship with vendors and the renewal of annual benefit cycles, covering flexible benefits and insured benefits.
    • Develop and manage Americas benefit budget.

    • Act as Reward Advisor to business areas, including benchmarking and job grading to the HR teams in order to support key Americas reward decisions.

    • Review the reward offering on an on-going basis in connection with global processes to ensure that reward provision continues to satisfy business requirements and is compliant with Group Reward strategy and policy.
    • Provide reward analysis on any potential M&A activity which may include undertaking due diligence and integration activity;

    • Handle compensation and benefits projects and/or participate in broader HR/ cross-functional projects in support of the region, including special projects on subjects such as employee leveling, incentive compensation, bonus plans, sales compensation, or allowances. This includes assisting in Group projects as necessary.  
    • Work with the internal communications teams to prepare regional communication materials, presentations, and training materials for employees and the wider HR team related to global reward initiatives and projects
    • Apply the Group global mobility policy and processes as necessary to support business requirements.
    • Serves in a lead capacity and shall be called upon to troubleshoot and offer technical assistance on the USA third party benefit enrollment systems. This includes updating annual renewal changes for open enrollment
    • Primary contact for all vendor websites within the USA where/when manual updates are required

    • Provide benefit sessions at new hire induction monthly

    • Manages, updates and maintains the HR Intranet site and our third-party vendor site to streamline information distribution and availability of comp and benefits data.

    • Minimum five years compensation and benefits experience.
    • BS/BA required
    • PHR/SPHR certification, preferredhe role will be office-based in Herndon, VA, USA with periodic domestic or international travel (less than 25%).
