    If you're looking for an exciting career across the Food Sector where you can truly make a difference, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Development Director to drive market development and the Food growth strategy across the Americas.

     

    This newly created role is part of the Global Food Sector team and will work closely with our champion team to build a robust Food business to differentiate BSI in the market, demonstrating to customers that BSI is the business partner of choice with the Food Industry.

     

    Essential Responsibilities:

    • Identify and engage with major food brands, food retailers and food service sector clients in the territory at c-suite and senior management level to build business
    • Develop and execute key account acquisition strategy, sales activity plans to create a continuous pipeline of opportunities within the territory
    • Analyse, identify and quantify key market opportunities; identify sales targets, build client communities, craft and implement agreed sales plans
    • Promote and sell BSI services to new and existing Food Sector customers in the territory
    • Make sales visits and deliver sales excellence by managing every step of the key account sales process to a successful conclusion
    • Routinely review sales activity and KPIs to deliver on financial and activity targets
    • Record key customer sales data in a standardised and consistent manner (SFDC)

    About You

    We seek someone who meets all of the following criteria:

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Food Sector sales experience
    • Minimum of five (5) years experience in the Food, Retail or FMCG Sector industry
    • Minimum of five (5) years Key Account experience
    • Minimum of five (5) years sales experience
    • Experience developing c-suite level relationships and engaging with customers to establish an understanding of their business drivers
    • Proven ability in closing business to business sales and winning new customers
    • Demonstrated track record of significantly exceeding targets and expectations
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills
    • Strong presentation skills
