  • About the Role

    This senior level consultant will be instrumental in helping to grow our Northern Virginia EHS Consulting business. This person will partner with clients to develop and execute solutions that improve the effectiveness and efficiency of operations. They will assess current capabilities against best practices and identify strategic, tactical improvements as well as design solutions. It is expected to expand the client base and grow the business. He/she will play a role in the analysis and development of transformational business models and assist clients integrate and operate them.


    Essential Responsibilities:

    • Generating leads, coordinating meetings and proposals, and conducting follow ups to meet sales targets
    • Developing and maintaining our Customer Relationship Management system to track leads and measure sales performance
    • Proposal preparation, including estimating work scope and price, the presentation process, and managing client relations to ensure complete satisfaction
    • Maintaining a high profile externally and through membership/attendance in life science industry functions, continually increasing contact base
    • EHS project management and coordination of project teams including serving as a Client Steward (Account Manager) for key accounts
    • Providing sales leadership, and making new and existing client sales 
    • Provide senior level EHS support to a variety of life/science biotech customers
    • Meeting sales objectives, maintaining sales plans, and updating sales forecasts and pipelines
    • Perform project management, and internal customer management 
    • Development and implementation of written Environmental programs
    • Perform environmental audits and support technical training
    • Mentor other consultants in their specialty areas
    • Provide quality review 
    • Support sustainability projects

    About You

    The ideal candidate will encompass the following qualities:



    • Undergraduate degree in a science-related field is required. A MS in a science-related field or MBA is desirable.
    • Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) desired.


    • Minimum seven (7) years of related Environmental experience in IH, Safety, Ergonomics, or other EHS specialty, including business development responsibility for a professional services firm
    • Experience either exclusively in customer engagement and delivery or a combination of consultancy and industry experience
    • Experience can be drawn from industries such as retail, pharmaceutical, banking, energy, utilities, telecoms and business services
