  • About the Role

    We have an exciting new opportunity in Herndon, VA to lead our Medical Device Client Services Coordinator team. The Lead Client Services Coordinator will be responsible for leading and monitoring the day-to-day work and engagement of the local CSC team. She will ensure that the technical teams are fully supported in coordinating the delivery of medical device CE marking and other certification services to BSI clients world-wide, working in the Global Medical Devices Operations team. This position will report to Angela White, CSC Team Leader and will be based in the Herndon office Monday to Friday.



    The Lead Client Services Coordinator will be the first point of contact for CSC’s in the US office and will to provide regular weekly feedback and supervision on the areas below:

    • Time keeping
    • Day to day performance- reporting on error levels
    • Sickness/absence during the day when UK office is closed
    • Report training issues/understanding of CSC role
    • Completing approval of working hours and PTO requests in ADP for US CSC’s on weekly basis
    • Encourage more collaboration and communication with the global CSC team
    • Lead by example and demonstrate the BSI behaviors

    This individual will be continue to be a fully trained and qualified Client Services Coordinator, completing the job duties below:

    • Processing of applications (in SAP)
    • To assist technical teams with tasks related to achieving and maintaining certification -
    • Drafting and issuing certificates
    • Suspending/cancelling certificates
    • Audit scheduling
    • Invoicing
    • Generating work orders/references
    • Managing and processing internal workflows
    • Support the Operations team in process improvement projects
    • Support the Finance team in data verification and resolving client queries
    • Action reports issued by the Operations and Finance teams
    • Support the Technology Team leader in the smooth running of the team’s affairs and support other teams’ client service coordinators as required
    • To undertake activities according with BSI Policies, Procedures and Protocols

    The Lead Client Services Coordinator must be approachable and demonstrate active listening skills as well as a fair but firm approach to leadership. To be successful in this role, you’ll have a proven track record in systems and administrative support, knowledge of BSI standards and products, and good training and mentoring skills.



    • Currently possess C Code sign off on Medical Devices Matrix
    • Strong Certification and production system understanding relating to a defined range of conformity certification schemes within a particular technological discipline.
    • Excellent administration and organization skills, with attention to detail
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, internally and externally and at junior and senior levels
    • Ability to plan and prioritize tasks according to importance to the client and business needs
    • Computer literate and familiar with commonly used software tools (e.g. Windows, Excel, Word) and ability to learn BSI systems e.g. SAP
    • Strong background with invoicing, query resolution and complaints handling
    • High school diploma
