    BSI is hiring an IT Regional Infrastructure & Service Lead based in our Herndon, VA office to manage the IT function for the Americas (US, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil) region. This is a pivotal professional position within BSI Global Technology. The role is accountable for ensuring the continuous development and management of all hard and soft technology infrastructure and technology services to ensure appropriate performance, availability, capacity, resilience and speed of delivery across the region. Through senior stakeholder management and change management, the IT Regional Infrastructure & Service Lead will deliver improved value for BSI colleagues to enable innovation, business agility and business performance in the region. 

     

    Essential Responsibilites:

    • Create and manage a competent and motivated team, providing timely and customer-focused support to all Americas office locations and field-based users.
    • Provide technical leadership and set objectives for all team members and closely monitor their individual and team performance and development, in line with the company’s appraisal process.
    • Responsible for delivering on regional service level agreements as agreed with the business units against security, quality, availability, cost and performance SLA’s
    • Liaise with external providers to ensure that they work to their agreed commitments and SLA’s.
    • Global ownership of at least one core IT process such as Help Desk provision or Asset Management process
    • Liaise with internal & external third and fourth line support, ensuring appropriate resolution of incidents, progression of problems and ensure timely escalation when necessary.
    • Provide authoritative professional and informed advice to colleagues at all levels.
    • Adopt and champion global BSI technology standards, methods and procedures.
    • Support and enable regional success for global BSI technology strategic initiatives.
    • Manage team availability and absences to ensure least impact to business operations.
    • Responsible for identifying new and emerging technology trends that will enable new business solutions, reduce operating costs and improve infrastructure performance and security
    • Contribute to BSI’s Global Infrastructure and Service Management roadmaps.
    • Contribute to the development of and compliance with all BSI’s Global Technology standards, processes and governance in a manner consistent with ITIL
    • Contribute to the controlled introduction of new technologies and transition of services in to live operations
    • Accountable for budgeted operating costs to deliver against technology and business objectives
    • Contribute to effective management of risks pertaining to BSI’s regional technology infrastructure, services and operations
    • Contribute to BSI’s development and operation of the Global Technology Service Catalogue

    About You

    This position is intended for a driven mid to senior level individual with passion to provide exemplary service performance and leadership. Must be highly professional, highly capable, and an effective written and verbal communicator with all levels in the organization. 

     

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology or related field
    • Professional experience in the majority of the following: AWS/Azure, VMWare, Powershell, Office 365, Cisco\Meraki, Desktop and laptop PC hardware, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Exchange and Outlook, TCP/IP, Switches, routers, bridges, hubs, Firewalls and Internet proxy servers, File and print services from Microsoft, software encryption products, server hardware, and Microsoft Windows Server
    • At least three (3) years of technology management experience in defining and managing regional infrastructure and technology services in an organization of BSI’s scale and global reach or larger (>1000 employees). 
    • Demonstrable project and program management skills
    • Demonstrable experience of managing provision of IT support in a multi-office/multi-location/multi-timezone environment
    • Prior knowledge and experience in Supplier management.
    • Demonstrable expertise in all ITIL practices including: Incident management, Problem management, Change management, Supplier management, Service design, Service/Help desk management, Service catalogue management, Availability management, Capacity management, Configuration management, License Management

     

    Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

    • Formal Infrastructure/Service Management certification (e.g. ITIL, MOF, FITS, ISO 20000 etc.)
    • Experience in setting and managing IT Infrastructure and Service budgets
    • Experience in agreeing and managing to metrics-based service levels.
